| ADMIRATIO MUNDI Wonder of the World: The At-Best Monthly Arvid Nelson Newsletter 05.28.09 ... Rex Mundi: The Final Three Yes, Rex Mundi is drawing to a close, after ten years. The final issue will be coming out in July, and then... that's it. More than anything, I'm going to miss working with Juan, and with Scott, my editor. I really love those guys. Issue 17 - Last Communion It's a big one, 24 pages. No "le Journal de la Liberté" this time, but it'll be back for the final two issues. Lots of twists and surprises in this issue, Dear Reader. I hope you'll say "I should have seen this coming!" when you're done reading. It's out... now. Issue 18 – David's Throne The penultimate issue, with a cover by everyone's favorite drawer of fantabulous babes, Joseph Michael Linser. Another big issue, 26 pages. June 17th. Issue 19 - Exodus The final issue, and it's going to be a whopping 32 pages long. Plus a front cover by one of my favorite creators, Mike Mignola! Thanks, Mike. I really do appreciate it. Juan is working on the layouts right now, and I can already tell it's going to be an amazing finish to our little crusade against reality. August 19th, same day as Zero Killer #4! There are also five Rex Mundi collections available: Book 1: The Guardian of the Temple Book 2: The River Underground Book 3: The Lost Kings Book 4: Crown and Sword Book 5: The Valley at the End of the World /---------/ Rex Mundi Film Update As always, a little update on the status of the Rex Mundi film. What's that you say? You didn't know about a film adaptation is underway!? Well, I'll be! Okay: yes. A film adaptation is working its way through the pipes, starring and produced by Johnny Depp. We have a home at Warner Brothers. Jim Uhls, the screenwriter, has the second draft of the screenplay finished. Things are sort of humming along again behind the scenes! But if I divulged any details, my esteemed producers would gouge out my eyeballs with a sugar spoon. So it's not really worth it. At least, not from my perspective. /---------/ |
